A Raider’s Return is a Main Quest in Ghost of Tsushima (GoT) and an exclusive quest in the Iki Island Expansion. Main Quests in Ghost of Tsushima (GoT) are categorized as "Jin's Journey", these are highlighted in Gold and focuses on the main campaign of the game. Completing main quests reward Jin with various items such as reputation points, tools, resources, charms, and story progression. Please see Quests for other walkthroughs on other tasks.
I found a potential new ally on Iki. Tenzo belongs to a crew of raiders who are traditionally hostile to the Samurai. But with the Eagle Tribe threatening everyone on Iki, he has agreed to bring me to his crew so I can join their fight against the Eagle.

A Raider’s Return Walkthrough
Follow Tenzo to Meet his Crew
- Travel to the abandoned village to meet Tenzo who shall willingly lead you to meet his fellow crew. However, you must keep your Clan Sakai identity secret, as these fellow raiders are highly skeptical of Samurais.
Ride and Talk with Tenzo
- Summon your horse and ride with Tenzo as the two of you talk along the way.
Stand Against the Mongols
- You will soon encounter a group of Mongols, who you shall swiftly defeat in battle after standing off against them.
- Eliminate the Shaman as soon as possible to prevent him from bolstering his allies.
Make Your Way Through an Alternate Route
- The regular path to Tenzo's camp appears to be blocked, so the two of you must find an alternate route. Once you have cleared the enemies, take Tenzo's lead to travel down the path at the cliffs.
- Once you reach the drawbridge, press [R2] and [L2} to travel down using the grapple.
- You will discover that this would not work as you make several attempts. As such, Tenzo and you will have to make an alternate route around the cliff.
- Once you reach the bottom, use the grapple one last time at the barrier.
Help Tenzo open the Gate
- Open the Gate together with Tenzo as he warns Jin that there will be no way to return from this point onwards.
Continue Your Journey with Tenzo
- Travel to the end of the area towards the large building, and speak with the leader of the Raiders, Fune, to complete the quest.
