Gunpowder is a Mongol Artifact in Ghost of Tsushima (GoT). A Mongol artifact is a collectible item - in Jin's Journey, players will come across Mongol Artifacts that allows the player to learn more about the culture and background of the Mongols. The purpose of these artifacts is to be collected and to unlock a trophy for collecting it all. There are 50 artifacts that can be found in forts, encampments, and dwellings across the island.
Derived from Chinese firearms and gunpowder weapons, Mongol cannons and bombs are a core component of their arsenal. An illustration of gunpowder warfare in action, the Mongol invasion of Japan showcases many well-documented examples of explosive bombs.

- Found northeast of Shinboku Inn in Kamiagata.

- Collecting at least 20 artifacts unlocks the "Know Your Enemy" Trophy/Achievement.
