The Blessing of Death is a Main Quest in Ghost of Tsushima (GoT) and an exclusive quest in the Iki Island Expansion. Main Quests in Ghost of Tsushima (GoT) are categorized as "Jin's Journey", these are highlighted in Gold and focuses on the main campaign of the game. The realisation that Tenzo killed my father enraged me… and gave me an idea. The raiders and I can lure the Eagle into an ambush in Senjo Gorge – just like the one that took my father’s life. Fune and Tenzo will meet me to discuss the details… and together we will finally end the Eagles’s reign of terror on Iki.

The Blessing of Death Walkthrough
Group Up with Fune and Tenzo
- Travel to east of Fune's Refuge, just above the Old Gambler's Wood to regroup with Fune and Tenzo.
Ride with Tenzo to meet his Scouts
- Summon and mount your horse to ride along Tenzo to the scouts after the cutscene plays. your horse and follow him.
Gather Information from the Scouts
- Upon arrival, learn about the important intel that he Scouts have gathered.
Notice the Incoming Fight
- As you do so, you shall spot the Eagle from your peripherals just behind the corner, right before a skirmish breaks out.
Dispatch of the Mongol Soldiers
- Amidst the battle you will realize that the Eagle you had just seen was but a brief vision. Regardless, quickly clear out the regular Mongol soldiers.
Review the Plan
- Speak to Tenzo right after to review on the upcoming procedures to hunt down the Eagle.
Travel on Your Horse
- Re-mount your horse and ride along side Tenzo to Senjo Gorge.
Defeat the Mongols at Senjo Gorge
- When arriving at the scene, the final series of fights in Iki’s storyline breaks loose. Get rid of Shamans whenever you spot them in the masses and use your allies to your advantage by letting them fight and giving you chances to hit some enemies from behind.
Start the Hunt
- Begin your hunt for the Eagle as you ride into the Canyons in the Gorge.
Endure the Waves of Mongol Forces
- Shortly after making your entrance into the Gorge, a total of 3 waves of Mongol troops will arrive to stop you in your tracks. Clear all waves, prioritizing Shamans as always, then proceed onward.
Double Down on the Pursuit
- Ride through Senjo Gorge to continue your pursuit of the Eagle.
Clear out More Enemies
- Wipe out another set of Mongol troops on the way.
Power Through as You Approach the End
- Do not let up - keep riding down these canyons, and clear a few more enemies as you approach closer and closer to the Eagle.We’re almost there – just a few more enemies between us and her.
Eliminate the Last Wave
- You will reach the final group of Mongols. Rid them of the area as per usual. Prepare to face the Eagle soon after.
The Face-off Against the Eagle
- At long last, you have earned your right to face the Eagle. Travel into this final part by foot.
- You have now confronted the Eagle. Familiarize with her attack pattern in the early stages of the fight - she will alternate between to modes of attacks, one quick, short-ranged weapon and then a two-handed, slower yet longer ranged weapon.
- Consume some resolve you have acquired from the many previous battles to counter attack her with a few solid strikes as you evade her incoming onslaught.
- Triumph over this notorious boss whom you have pursued after to finally complete the quest.
