The Family Man is a Side Quest in Ghost of Tsushima (GoT). Tales of Tsushima are categorized as the typical side quests of the game, these are optional where players partake through side activities of the game that advances side plots of the game. Side Quests heavily focuses on stories that revolve around NPCs encountered throughout the game. Completing a side quest rewards Jin with unique items and many more.

The Family Man Walkthrough
Speak with Masako
- This quest is available after completing the side quest "The Fool".
- Open your map or journal to track the location of this side quest which is at the Omi Monastery.
- You'll find Masako having an argument with one of the monks, Junshin in the middle of the area. Speak to her to begin the quest.
- After speaking to Masako, confront Junshin about one of the men who were a part of the massacre of Masako's family. Junshin then gives you Kajiwara's location as long as you only "talk" to him.
Follow Masako to Kajiwara's Hut
- After speaking to Junshin, tell Masako about Kajiwara's location. Head outside the monastery and ride with Masako to Kajiwara's hut down at the beach.
- The location is automatically marked on the map, so just use Guiding Wind to identify which direction you should go to.
- When you're near, Masako asks you to dismount your horse and travel by foot towards the beach to avoid being seen.
- Head down the slope towards the shore and a cutscene will trigger where you'll see Mongol guards have already arrived and are searching for Kajiwara.
- Challenge them to a standoff then kill the remaining guards with Masako. Better to take care of the archers first and then the brute guard before fighting the remaining soldiers.
Investigate the house
- Once you've killed all the Mongols, head inside the house to look for clues and for Kajiwara.
- When you enter the broken shoji, examine the silk on the floor, a fisherman's blade that is covered in blood, the bodies of Kajiwara's wife and daughter on the left side of the house, and on the far right side, you'll find footprints that lead away from the hut.
- Follow the footprints around the corner of the shore and you'll see Kajiwara. Speak to him and a cutscene will trigger.
- This completes the side quest and you'll be rewarded with a Minor Legend Increase, the Charm of Ferocity, and x2 Silk.
