The Guardian of Tsushima Walkthrough
Meet Norio in Sago
- To obtain this quest, complete the 2nd act of the game as well as the following quests: "The End of Suffering" and "Wolves at the Gates".
- Head to Sago and you'll find a group of people along with Mongol guards and a Monk who's preaching about the cause of Mongols.
- Kill all the Mongol guards then speak to the Monk to formally start this side quest.
- Ride with the Monk and follow him to a farmhouse where Norio is. Head inside the farmhouse and speak to him.
- Next, follow Norio and walk with him outside of the farmhouse until you trigger another cutscene.
Go with Norio
- After the cutscene, ride with Norio along with his allies towards Cedar Temple to reclaim it.
- When you arrive at the temple, try to position yourself on a vantage point which is on a rock found on the left side of the temple's entrance.
- Upon entering, Norio and his men will charge in and fight. The Mongols won't even notice you so while they're busy fighting Norio and the other monks, you can shoot them with your bow and arrow or poison them with your darts.
- Push forward to the inner section but keep an eye out for the hwacha. To identify where the arrows will land, a white circle will appear on the ground that identifies where the arrows will drop. You'll have enough time to dodge roll away from the circle to avoid getting hit.
Defeat the Mongols
- Before you try to reach the hwacha, try to build up your Ghost Stance first by killing the Mongol guards at the inner section of the temple.
- When Ghost Stance is full, rush towards the hwacha and be ready to face more Mongols such as the brute-type guards. Activate Ghost Stance so that you can easily kill them. Dispatch the Mongol guard who's operating the hwacha and kill the remaining enemies.
- When the coast is clear, you can use the hwacha against the Mongols to help Norio and his men.
- Once you've cleared the area, follow Norio and the rest of the monks towards the pagoda and kill the Mongol reinforcements.
- After you kill all of the Mongols, speak to Norio to trigger another cutscene.
- Next, follow Norio to the main hall where you'll find another monk who warns you not to enter the hall.
- Head inside and another cutscene will trigger where Norio finds Enjo who's been beaten and tortured by cutting off his legs and arms.
- This completes the side quest and unlocks the last tale for Norio, This Threefold World.
