Whispers in the Woods is a Side Quest in Ghost of Tsushima (GoT). Tales of Tsushima are categorized as the typical side quests of the game, these are optional where players partake through side activities of the game that advances side plots of the game. Side Quests heavily focuses on stories that revolve around NPCs encountered throughout the game. Completing a side quest rewards Jin with unique items and many more.

Whispers in the Woods Walkthrough

Search for Spirits in the Forest

• This quest can be unlocked by listening to a peasant's rumor at the Hiyoshi Springs.
• The location will be automatically marked on the world map and added to your journal.
• You'll need to travel to Kashine Forest to investigate the rumor of spirits in the forest.
• When you reach the objective, you'll find a man camping near the woods. He'll warn you to stay away from the forest when you get close. Speak to him to begin the quest.
• You'll need to wait for night to come before you can investigate the forest.
• Head inside and you'll find a campfire and a dead body. You'll also find some tracks that you can follow.
• You need to follow it where you'll reach a cart of dead bodies and some hanging from the trees.

Follow the hanging bodies

• Follow the trail of hanging bodies and eventually, you'll find a small group of bandits.
• Assassinate them one by one and kill the rest of the enemies around the campfire.
• After killing all of the enemies, return to the traveler outside of the woods and tell him about what you've discovered.
• This completes the side quest and you'll be rewarded with the Charm of Dual Destruction I, a Minor Legend Increase, and x4 Leather.
