Incident at Hiyoshi Pass is a Side Quest in Ghost of Tsushima (GoT). Tales of Tsushima are categorized as the typical side quests of the game, these are optional where players partake through side activities of the game that advances side plots of the game. Side Quests heavily focuses on stories that revolve around NPCs encountered throughout the game. Completing a side quest rewards Jin with unique items and many more.

The Mongols have taken the bridge leading into Hiyoshi Springs. It’s stopping the people of Tsushima from traveling the ravine safely. I need to clear the bridge of Mongol control.

Find the bridge between Hiyoshi and Ariake

• To obtain this quest, speak to one of the peasants at Hiyoshi Springs.
• He will give you a rumor regarding the Mongols who took over the bridge connecting Hiyoshi and Ariake.
• The location will be automatically marked on your map and the side quest will be added to your journal upon speaking to the peasant.

Rescue Banta from the Mongol archers

• When you arrive at the bridge, speak to Banda's uncle who is standing by the bridge. You'll learn that Banta is being harassed by the Mongols and is shooting arrows at him. You'll find Banta in the middle of the bridge ducking from the shots.
• The goal is simple, kill all the archers who are positioned on the cliffs of both ends of the bridge. You can shoo them with your bow and arrow then eventually you can climb down to the river and eliminate the remaining archers.
• There's a lot of them here so be ready to dodge a lot. You'll identify when an archer is about to shoot an arrow at you, they'll send out a warning shot first to let their allies know before shooting. This will give you time to dodge the arrows. Also, if you've unlocked the Deflect Arrows technique, you can block incoming arrows with the katana.
• Simply kill all the enemies, rescue Banta and escort him back to his uncle to complete this side quest.
• You'll be rewarded with a Minor Legend Increase, x10 Linen, and the Charm of Unyielding I.
