Hidden in Snow is a Side Quest in Ghost of Tsushima (GoT). Tales of Tsushima are categorized as the typical side quests of the game, these are optional where players partake through side activities of the game that advances side plots of the game. Side Quests heavily focuses on stories that revolve around NPCs encountered throughout the game. Completing a side quest rewards Jin with unique items and many more.
There have been rumors that the dye mills of Sago have gone quiet for the first time in years. If something is wrong, I need to help.

Hidden in Snow Walkthrough
Investigate the Town
- This quest can be obtained from a rumor given by a peasant at the Jogaku Temple. Also, the main quest "Honor and Ash" must be completed.
- When you obtain the rumor, the location for this side quest will be automatically marked on the map. Head to the Sago Mill and investigate the town. Speak to one of the peasants named Sota who's inside the house near the town's entrance on the right.
- Jin will mention that there's something off with the town and with Sota. Continue looking around the area and you'll find one of the townspeople outside who will call out Jin. He'll ask you to follow him but don't be too close.
Follow the Peasant
- Follow the peasant to the backside of the town and another cutscene will trigger when you arrive at a safe spot to talk. He'll mention that he has seen Sota sneaking around a couple of nights and that the town is hiding something.
- After the cutscene, head to the marked objective and investigate the building to search for clues. You'll find bloody handprints inside a box, women's clothing. A body that has been drowned in a big basin, a rope that was used on the person that was drowned, and a stack of dead bodies that were killed with the use of weapons.
Follow the Tracks
- After investigating the town, head towards the marked objective and you'll find tracks coming from a large group that headed out of the town.
- Follow the footprints and you'll first come across the body of a woman that you can investigate. Jin mentions that she tried to escape and the killers shot her down and left her to die.
- Continue following the tracks near the woman's body and you'll find a farmhouse that's being used by the group's hideout.
- When you're near, you'll obtain the next objective which is to rescue the group of women that are held captive.
Rescue the Women
- In the farmhouse, you'll encounter a group of Mongols here. Try to sneak in and kill the Mongols one by one as much as you can and avoid being detected.
- This will make it less overwhelming and to avoid fighting them and trying to defend the woman from being killed if you fight the Mongols head-on.
- Once you've killed all of the Mongols, approach the woman to talk to her and to set her free. You'll learn that Sago and the rest of the men gave away the women of the Sago Mill to the Mongols in exchange for their safety and that the men who were killed were the ones who stood up for the women.
Return to Sago
- After learning about the truth, return to the Sago Mill and confront Sota.
- A cutscene will then trigger when you arrive at the town where Sota and the rest of the men are confronted by Jin.
- Simply kill Sato and Jin warns the rest of the men that if they return, they will join Sota's fate.
- Next, speak to the peasant who helped you earlier to complete this side quest.
