The Threefold World is a Side Quest in Ghost of Tsushima (GoT). Tales of Tsushima are categorized as the typical side quests of the game, these are optional where players partake through side activities of the game that advances side plots of the game. Side Quests heavily focuses on stories that revolve around NPCs encountered throughout the game. Completing a side quest rewards Jin with unique items and many more.
A Norio Tale (9 of 9).
A monk of Cedar Temple told me that Norio took his brother’s ashes to a nearby cemetery. When I find him, I will let him know how much the temple still needs his leadership.

The Threefold World Walkthrough
Find Norio
- This quest is automatically obtained after completing The Guardian of Tsushima.
- From the Cedar Temple, speak to one of the monks that have the side tale marker to ask about Norio.
- The Monk will mention that he's at the cemetery up on the hills on the south of the temple.
- The location of the cemetery is automatically marked, use Guiding Wind to identify the right direction.
- When you arrive at the cemetery, speak to Norio and a cutscene will trigger.
Follow Norio to his Campsite
- He'll mention that the Mongol Kharchu is near his campsite at Fort Shouni and wants to find him to avenge his brother.
- After the cutscene, ride your horse and follow Norio to his camp. When you arrive, you'll see bandits who are trying to steal his supplies but runs off when Norio threatens them.
- Next, head to the burning fort which is near the camp to find Norio. Speak to the monks who are by the entrance of the burning fort and Jin will ask them to take refuge at Cedar Temple.
- Enter the fort and you'll find Norio burning the Mongol named Kharchu.
- A cutscene will then trigger again and you'll also complete Norio's side quest.
